Remember Me

First movie review in a while, so here it goes...

I recently watched the movie "Remember Me," starrring Robert Pattinson... Need I say more? Okay, I guess I do need to say more. Anyway, I've been dying to see this movie since I saw the preview for it before it came out in theaters. Forever and a day later, I finally see it. I was super excited to see it, and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. There were certain things in the movie that I wasn't happy with, in particular, the ending. I was NOT at all expecting the ending of this movie.

This was definitely an emotional film. Robert Pattinson's character loses his older brother to suicide, and he deals with the pain of having been the one that found him, and losing one of his best friends in life.
Emilie de Ravin played his girlfriend, who as a child sees her mother be murdered in the subway.

This movie reminded me to pretty much enjoy every minute of my life, to live in each moment, not worry about the past or the future, but be in the moment. Enjoy those who you have while you have them, because you never know when you won't have them anymore. Don't take anything in life for granted. This is where I will end this post, since I am getting emotional just talking about it. Until next time...

Okay, Don't Hate Me...

So, if anyone actually still reads this blog... Well, at least looks at the page, you may notice that I haven't updated in a LONG time... Since, ya know, JULY!!!! Yes, I'm a slacker and I'm a horrible blogger, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yea, I know! So, here it is, almost the end of January 2011, and I never got through my list from 2010. So, you may ask, what are you going to do about that?? Well, I'm just going to continue this blog this year. I am currently blogging about my experiences in yoga... Yes, yoga! Which I have to do for a college class. So I will be on here a lot more in the coming months. Therefore, I will be able to blog more about my movies!!
Even though I haven't blogged on here since July, I HAVE still seen a lot of new movies: new to me, and new to everyone else. So, starting today, I will be trying to play catch-up on my movie ratings!!!

So, here's to a new year...

THE YEAR OF THE MOVIE: YEAR TWO!

Pretty Woman

Why haven't I seen this movie before?? I asked myself this question after I saw this movie a few weeks ago. This movie was wonderful! Rich man hires a prostitute to accompany him on a business trip in Los Angeles, they begin to like each other, and so on. I absolutely loved this movie! I couldn't believe I had not seen it before. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts were the perfect actors for this movie, I don't think anyone could have played the parts better! There's not much more to say about it,but BRAVO! I give this movie an A+, without a doubt!

The Perfect Getaway

Alrighty, here's another movie I have watched over the past couple of weeks... The Perfect Getaway. This movie has 6 strangers (3 couples) and they are in Hawaii hiking, and there are killers on the island somewhere, killing off couples on their honeymoon. Of course each of the couples think the others are the killers.
This movie had a great plot. The actors that were cast were amazing as well: Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant, Milla Jovovich. I absolutely loved this movie. I am afraid of giving too much away, so I won't explain very much for those who haven't seen it. This movie does have a few twists and turns, but it was well worth watching! Beautiful setting, great plot, amazing cast... I give this movie an A-. Well done!

Gamer

Happy Belated 4th of July everyone! So, yesterday was July 4th, and I went to with a couple of friends to their family's for a BBQ, and there we watched this movie "Gamer." I hadn't heard of it before, hadn't seen previews or anything on it. As soon as I heard Gerard Butler was in it, there was no doubt in my mind that I would love the movie... Well, I was a little wrong, I didn't exactly love this movie. This movie definitely had great potentnial, it's plot seemed great - set in the future, where humans can control other humans minds. Those whose minds were being controlled were death row inmates who had volunteered to be controlled. If they survived 30 sessions at war, they were set free. Sounds great, right? Wrong, the movie was just so unbelievably gory. As I had said the movie definitely had great potential, but it just wasn't for me. It could have had an A, but unfortunately, I have to give this movie a D... Sorry Gerard Butler! I love you, but this movie sucked!

The Hangover

Ok, again, I haven't blogged in a while. I am so sorry. Between the end of the semester with finals and such, and then the beginning of summer with Flyers game playoffs, I have been so busy, with barely any time to blog! Well, good news is, I have PLENTY of movies to talk about, so stay tuned for a ton of reviews.

Anywho, let's get back to movies, shall we?

First of all, let's talk about "The Hangover." Here is a movie I have seen a million times, and still laugh hysterically at the same parts every single time I see it. Like I said, I've seen it before, but it is definitely worth talking about. From the moment this movie started until the very end, there was always something to laugh about. The goofy guy Alan, Phil the teacher who hates his life, Stu the dentist (a.k.a. Dr. Faggot) and his b!tchy girlfriend, and Doug who is about to get married but his friends somehow "lose" him in Vegas because of an awful hangover.

As they are trying to find their friend Doug to get him back in time for his wedding, the guys come across so many insane road blocks, and they also find out about the things that happened while they were "out of it", including why they found a jungle cat in their hotel bathroom. Which leads to so many more hilarious issues for the guys. Just thinking about it all gets me laughing.

Anyway, if you haven't seen this movie yet, you need to see it ASAP! It's a great one you don't want to miss out on. And my grade for this movie is without a doubt and A++

The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth... This is one of the movies I have really wanted to see, but hadn't gotten the chance to. Gerard Butler (LOVE HIM) and Katherine Heigl star in the hilarious movie! Katherine Heigl plays, for lack of better wording, a "romantically challenged" morning show producer. Gerard Butler plays the host of a television show for relationship help, so to say, called "The Ugly Truth"... Without giving too much away, they eventually cross paths, which makes this movie extremely hilarious. I definitely give this movie an A... Like I have said in almost every post before, if you haven't seen it, go rent it, and enjoy!
